What a Cut Up! - a Patrick’s Woods complimentary design for your stitching pleasure. What better way to begin this new cyber adventure than with a design featuring my favorite stitched motif – the rabbit or hare! And since we are all still enjoying the reaffirming karma during this year of the rabbit, stitching multiple rabbits can only bring you good fortune.
The model is stitched on 32 count off white linen, stitching over one linen thread with NPI silk floss, color 184A brown, 154 and 155 blue. The thread and needle are whipped backstitch. The border is Oblong Gobelin stitch. For a diagram, click on Stitch Diagram above.

I added my name to the bottom of the design and appliqued the stitched piece to cotton fabric, creating a nametag pouch to wear at gatherings of needleworkers. The pouch is a variation of the pattern featured in the magazine Quilts and More, a Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest publication, Summer 2011 issue. The pouch measures approx. 6” h x 4.5”w and is made from cotton fabric, with a contrasting lining, strap, and ribbon tie for closure.
